Situated in the authentic Alpine village of Les Houches, near to the centre of town, the Hotel CHRIS-TAL is surrounded by the mountains, and has unrivalled 360 degree views.
Les Aiguilles (Needles) of Chamonix, L’Aiguille Verte, L’Aiguille du Midi, le Mont-Blanc de Tacul, le Mont-Maudit, Le Dome du Gouter, l’Aiguille du Gouter, le Mont-Lachat, Bellevue, Prarion, Tete Noire, l’Aiguillette des Houches, the Merlet mountain . . . are the principal summits that you will be able to admire from the hotel’s 26 balconies.
The Chamonix Valley, being an East-West orientated valley, gets a lot of sunlight during the summer months. The mountains here, being not so high, are therefore more accessible to less- experienced hikers, and allow for a detailed discovery of the whole of the Mont Blanc mountain range. In winter, there is less sunshine in the deeper parts of the valley (until mid-January), and this allows skiers to return via the home-run until April, even if the ski resort is not that high, at 1020m.
